Greetings! Louie Ezra here, CTO of Louie Ezra's Roasted Salsa. I'm excited to bring news of a couple of new varieties of our delicious salsa from this year's garden!
First off, we've added the smoky goodness of Poblano peppers to most of our salsa batches. It brings a new level of flavor to the already outstanding recipes. Also, we grew two new varieties of tomatoes - one on purpose, one not so much. We trialed some German Queen heirloom tomatoes in the 2023 season - just a couple of small batches for my humans to enjoy. They were fantastic - the sweetest tomatoes we'd ever found. So we planted a bunch of them for 2024. Except for one small problem - we apparently got a mixed batch of seeds, because over half the plants ended up being NOT German Queens. Fortunately, they were an excellent tomato that we dubbed "Mystery Red". It made an excellent salsa, both on its own and when mixed with the German Queens.
So from the 2024 season, we still have our Black Krim Extra Garlic, to go along with various combinations of Mystery Reds and German Queens. Try some today before it's gone!!
